Demonstrative area of digital factory potential
Big novelty of BI-MU 2020 edition was BI-MUpiùDigital, the area set up in Hall 11 E38 dedicated to the illustration of digital factory potential and of the opportunities coming from interconnecting machinery.
Promoted by FONDAZIONE UCIMU and by MindSphere World Italia Association, providing the platform, BI-MUpiùDigital was an informative and demonstrative area joined machine tool manufacturers and players belonging to the world of information technologies, to underline the increasing integration between the two worlds, according to 4.0 approach.
FICEP, JOBS, MANDELLI SISTEMI, MCM, OFFICINE BIGLIA, PRIMA ADDITIVE, RETTIFICATRICI GHIRINGHELLI, ROSA ERMANDO, WMACHINEN WAGNER WERKZEUGMASCHINEN are the machine tool manufacturers participating in the initiative.
There are four demonstrative cases shown in the area:
Increase of machine availability, activated through notifications of machine misfunctioning and the prediction of the machining program end.
Reduction of maintenance downtimes, through wear analysis of machine components and traceability of the use of individual machine component, respecting the individual processes.
Optimization of planning and production costs by estimating production times and calculating the utilization of resources for each individual process.
Energy saving and green production, through the rational use of resources and the reduction of carbon dioxide production.
BI-MUpiùDigital area also hosts the “Meet the Expert Corner”, where visitors can take advantage from a first-level support on the related topics.
