MUSP, present in Italy since 2005, is an industrial research laboratory in the field of engineering that supports entrepreneurial activities with innovation projects focused on processes and products. The MUSP Consortium, which manages the Piacenza Technopole at the Casino Mandelli site, was established by companies, industry associations, and universities to enhance the competitiveness of businesses by providing high-level academic expertise.

MUSP serves as a resource for SMEs and large companies seeking sustainable and competitive development. Its uniqueness lies not only in its physical structure (an industrial building for testing and prototyping) but also in its multidisciplinary approach to analyzing internal processes within machines or production lines.
By collaborating with other centers of excellence, MUSP enables companies to make cohesive technological leaps across various domains. Themes such as digitization, sensorization, and servitization can become integral parts of an organization’s goods and services through strategic development.

In particular, MUSP’s presence at BI-MU 2024 will focus on aspects of the Green-Digital Transition. Other research areas, such as re-manufacturing, fiber reuse, and knowledge digitization, are also maturing.
