Eco compatt: for sustainable management of chips
JVONNE
Pad. 11 stand E05
The Eco-Compatt series is designed to compact the swarf produced during machining operations into a product with a significantly reduced volume, which is more manageable and easier to store and transport. The resulting compacted swarf has less residual water and emulsion oil than uncompacted swarf, and the coolant used during the process is collected and reused. This approach contributes significantly to environmental sustainability.
Applications of the Eco-Compatt Series
The Eco-Compatt Series is ideal for use on various machine tools, including:
- CNC lathes
- Automatic lathes
- CNC milling machines
- CNC machining centres
These compactors are particularly effective in processing materials such as steel, aluminium, nodular cast iron and certain types of plastic.
Advantages of Eco-Compactors
The use of Eco-Compatt compactors offers numerous advantages, including:
- Reduction of Storage Spaces: Over 90%-95% reduction in the space required for chip storage.
- Reduction of CO2 Emissions: 70%-80% reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere due to transport.
- Reduction of Operator Time: Saving of more than 80% of operator time dedicated to chip handling.
- Reduced Visual Environmental Impact: Improved working environment and reduced visual impact of swarf.
- Forklift Truck Use Reduction: 90%-95% reduction in forklift truck use, resulting in fewer associated risks.
- Increased Sales Price: Increased competitiveness due to lower transport costs of compacted chips.
