Let’s start with BI-MU: what does this exhibition represent for you and what motivates you to participate in the next edition?
Since our first participation in 2000, we have never missed an edition of BI-MU, not even in 2020, the year of the pandemic. For Hurco, BI-MU is the most important showcase in Italy and a unique opportunity to meet new potential customers, show our solutions and our products and strengthen personal relationships with our customers, suppliers and consultants.
What will you present at your stand?
In addition to the latest version of our numerical control, Hurco MAX5, with which all our machines are equipped, we will show two different types of our U series and SRT series 5-axis machining centres, as well as a TMX series multi-axis turning centre with counter-spindle, all of them performing live machining tests.
Do you have special expectations from 34.BI-MU?
Considering the not very bright situation that the sector is currently experiencing, we hope that 34. BI-MU will coincide with a recovery phase in the market and thus will contribute to improving the visibility of Hurco brand and increasing sales opportunities.

With regard to technological trends, which ones are most influencing your production and which ones do you most expect to find in the halls of 34.BI-MU?
Interconnection of Systems, implementation of Artificial Intelligence and Automation intended as machine tending are more and more and faster and faster entering into our projects and applications. These technologies are the same ones we most expect to find at the next BI-MU.
Which are your most dynamic sectors of application at the moment?
Among the sectors that are less impacted by the current market situation and thus more “dynamic”, I would include Packaging in its various forms and the Automation sector.
Are you confident about Hurco’s future? What will be the next steps?
Hurco Italia is part of the American group Hurco Companies Inc., listed on the NASDAQ in New York. Therefore, we are talking about a multinational company that is present in all major world markets, with several brands and product lines. The new projects and technological developments that are underway, along with new acquisitions of companies under evaluation to further expand Hurco’s product offering, cannot fail to make us look to the future with confidence.
