Interview with Stefano Maretti
RIELLO SISTEMI DIGITAL TRANSFER

Appointment at BI-MU next October: what does the exhibition represent for you?

This trade show is the event of reference for the sector in Italy and, with the exception of an edition organised in the immediate post-Covid period, which we did not attend, BI-MU has always been a fixture for our company. Although, in recent years, new technologies and changes in the way of doing business introduced new trade strategies as alternatives to trade fairs, the participation in BI-MU remains crucial for us. We are sure that, again this year, it will bring us interesting results.

To what advantages are you referring?

No doubt our participation will enable us to prove our strong presence in the market and to meet our most loyal customers. Direct contact is a very important aspect for us in today’s “digital world” and 34.BI-MU will offer us the opportunity to meet numerous operators in person. We expect a good turnout of mainly local visitors and a positive atmosphere, which is essential to lay the foundations for negotiations.

Could you tell us more about your stand display?

We will focus on our products dedicated to reducing energy consumption, as well as on the innovations introduced on one of our machines for lead-free brass processing, which will allow to manage this particular manufacturing process in the best way.

beside our product offering, we will propose machine tending with in-house built robotic systems. We will try to achieve a complete product synergy and we will be able to offer a complete package

How do you see the economic situation?

The uncertain trend that characterised the latter part of 2023 has undoubtedly extended to these first months of 2024. However, on the foreign front, we are starting to observe signs of recovery, in particular in the US market, which is currently very effervescent, along with the German one, remaining a positive, important market for Riello despite the negative news on its economy. The Italian area is still “on hold”, waiting for more certainty regarding tax reliefs provided by the Transition Plan 5.0.

Do you think this will negatively influence the success of 34.BI-MU?

Not at all. The concrete answers we are all waiting for will surely come before October and will give greater confidence to the operators at the fair, ensuring the success of the event.

Finally, are you confident about the future of your company? What will be your next steps?

Our company is now part of a group, xAI LOG Engineering S.r.l., a leading player in the sectors of robotics and automation, with a focus on engineering and design of customised systems for a wide range of fields and applications. Therefore, beside our product offering, we will soon propose machine tending with in-house built robotic systems. In this way, we will try to achieve a complete product synergy and, without the need for subcontracting, we will be able to offer a complete package, presenting ourselves as a single supplying company for a production line commissioned by a customer. In addition, we will continue to give great importance to service, always a key aspect, and offer responsive machines with ultra-high productivity and low energy impact.
