35.BI-MU marks the debut of the Skills Area, a project developed by UCIMU Academy: a strategic hub created to connect those who build and transfer know-how with the companies of the machine tool and robotics manufacturing industry.
It is a practical meeting point, designed to address the industry’s growing shortage of technical skills and roles and to help train the talent of tomorrow. The Area is open to companies and visitors, as well as to ITS Academies – Italy’s higher vocational education and training institutes -, universities and secondary schools.

- ROBOTGAMES (second edition): the robotics contest that will see 11 finalist schools go head to head.
- ECOLE: a leading provider of vocational training and employment services, and a point of reference for lifelong learning.
- CoVE VLF4EU European project (Virtual Learning Factories for the European Union): an innovative showcase that combines real-world, hands-on training with digital twin technology to prepare young talent for advanced manufacturing. Co-funded by Erasmus+ as a Centre of Vocational Excellence and coordinated with 13 education and industry partners across Europe, in which UCIMU leads communication and promotion activities, VLF4EU is building a European alliance of virtual learning factories: immersive, modular and inclusive training environments that equip technical skills and roles for the twin digital and green transition.
Far more than an exhibition space, the Skills Area is a concrete response to the shortage of technical profiles in the manufacturing industry.

The special UCIMU Academy programme of initiatives dedicated to students, with the aim of bringing the world of education closer to that of industry, will accompany the trade show throughout its duration.
The central initiative will be the second edition of ROBOTGAMES, the robotics and automation competition for high school students.
